A vast and empty blankness, absorbing the very thought from your mind and leaving you with nothing. So here it begins, The Newsletter. The question, as always, is do I have anything interesting to say? The answer is no, but you are here and so we soldier on. What’s next? Ah, yes. Future Projects that may never come to fruition, let’s take a look at that.
The Year of Modern Horror
As said by Goblin Archives, 2023 is the year of Modern Horror. I’ve been working hard to chip away the granite on a Liminal Horror adventure that will hopefully be live by the end of the month. It’s called The Devil Game and it’s about everything I hate about online culture. Oh, and hopefully, it’s good.
Inspired Classics
I’ve been absorbing a lot of media lately. An errant Shudder subscription and the finding of a local comic book purveyor are to blame for this. As such, I am also working on what I’m tentatively calling “The Inspired Classics”, adventures almost pulled right off the page and screen and onto the table. Current selections include a Lovecraftian Liminal Horror adventure titled “Jupiter!” and Sci-Fi of some description to be labeled “Memory.”.
There are others in the works, but they’re either too far off to reveal or probably never happening, so they are left a mystery.
Movie to Watch: Lokis
A folk horror tale about a professor-priest who travels to a remote part of Poland and finds there all manner of the odd. Not so much a horror film as it is a study on the bizarre nature of people and how they mingle, but extremely well-told. If you can handle subtitles.
With all of this, I leave you.
